What have we learned today? Teachers like to collaborate. Some have big smiles and some look really wise. Art teachers doodle better than anyone else. And finally, snacks and four-legged friends make for a successful #CarolinePDDay.

How nice that the Cat in the Hat visited the #GESHornets for #ReadAcrossAmerica Day! Is it just us or is that face (minus the whiskers) really familiar?? 🤔
#CarolineFamily

#DESDolphins loved Mystery Readers and Board Members Mrs. Wayman and Mrs. DiGiacomo. Mrs. Wayman read "Malcolm, Who Will You Be?" by Dawn Wayman, who also happens to be her daughter! They also were so excited to see Bus Driver Mr. Matt, also known as Matt Sartwell, this year's Support Employee of the Year. Hard to say who enjoys #ReadAcrossAmerica Day more, the students or the guests!

Ms. Bringman's #DESDolphins loved "Creepy Carrots!" by Aaron Reynolds, Dr. Simmons' book choice for his Mystery Reader job today.

Who can make green eggs and ham look delicious? Our Food Services folks!

I had a blast being a mystery reader at DES today! Thank you to the teachers and students who welcomed me, and enjoyed the book...a favorite of my youngest when she was that age! #CarolineFamily

Our Food Service staff in the schools got into the spirit of Read Across America Day, right down to serving green eggs and ham for lunch. Yum!

We celebrate reading every day but never more so than today! #ReadAcrossAmerica
