Yesterday we were honored to have Maryland State Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright visit the Caroline Family at Greensboro Elementary School! Dr. Wright brought along an enthusiastic team that included Maryland Teacher of the Year Alonna Soward-Puryear, and State Board Members Dr. Bell and Mr. Greer. During their visit, they observed teachers working with students in large and small groups, discussing problem‑solving strategies, and engaging in tasks that required focus and collaboration. Throughout the county, the Caroline Family has been feeling the love! We've had a truly awesome Staff Appreciation Week. Supt. Simmons provided t-shirts and refreshment vendors, and school administrators, clubs and students served breakfast, lunch, snacks, activities and more. Best of all and no surprise, our always-supportive families, community partners and local businesses showed their love in many wonderful ways.
