Athletics

Caroline County Public Schools strives to provide an athletic program that is beneficial for all athletes, and one that gives them the opportunity to learn the skills of the game, good sportsmanship, and build strong character.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

In an effort to streamline and simplify the process of registration for students wanting to try-out for teams at both high schools, CCPS has signed on with Form ReLeaf, a paperless registration system. All paperwork will be completed and submitted online.

The online process:

  1. Go to CRHS Athletics or NCHS Athletics to register.
The user may need to Sign Up to open an account.
Once all the information has been completed, the user will receive an email verifying that registration is complete. If an email is not received, registration has not been completed.

  2.  Once all the information is completed on Form ReLeaf, students must take a physical form, found at the top of the registration page, to their doctor to fill out. Once the doctor completes the form, it must be given to the Athletic Director. (Physicals are good for one year from the date the doctor completes it.)

Once Steps 1 & 2 are complete, the student is eligible to try-out for an athletic team.

ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY

Students must have a valid physical exam on file with the school. A physical is valid for one calendar year from the date it is completed by the physician. Additionally, students must provide proof of insurance. If they do not have private insurance, they can apply for the School Health Insurance Plan.

Physical exam forms may be found on the high school's online registration site:

HANDBOOKS & POLICIES

The CCPS Student-Athlete Handbook provides information about all aspects of student athletics. It also includes important information for students with suspected head injuries and/or concussions. All student-athletes and their parents must acknowledge receipt of the handbook each year.

Additionally, CCPS must adhere to the policies and regulations outlined by the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA).

ATHLETIC SCHEDULES

All high school athletic schedules can be found on the CCPS mobile app (search Caroline County, MD in the App Store or on Google Play).

Schedules are also available online at Digital Sports. Simply type in the name of your school and find all schedules for the year. This is the official scheduling system of the Bayside Athletic Conference, so all schedules will remain current and reflect any cancellations or reschedules.

USE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY
