Mrs. Smith's AP Chemistry students recently learned about alloys. In the alloy lab, their mission was to change a copper penny into a "silver" penny (zinc coated penny) and then change the "silver" penny into a "gold" penny (brass - a copper & zinc alloy). The students were all successful alchemists, and better yet, they were able to keep their works of art! #ColonelTOUGH
