October 28, 2022 – After a nail-biting ten rounds, Federalsburg Elementary student Jordyn Ennals emerged victorious from the Annual Caroline County 5th Grade Spelling Bee, sponsored and conducted by the Teachers Can Help (TCH) organization.
The second place winner was Marlo Pritchett from Denton Elementary; third place was taken by Izabelle Porter from Greensboro Elementary.
Each participant in the competition was the first, second, or third place winner of spelling bees held in their respective schools. Countywide winners received cash awards of $75 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.

- Greensboro Elementary – Jeffrey Garcia Escanlante and Merly Deleon Morales
- Preston Elementary – Jackson Zimberoff, Jaila Satchell and Astryd Spence
- Ridgely Elementary – Lilly Shupe, Paysen Ramsey and Emma Necessary
