We are! We appreciate the support of outside news outlets and social media pages, and welcome them sharing news from our district and schools. However, when it comes to official information, families, staff, and community members should always verify details through Caroline County Public Schools communication channels.
How do we share news?
Urgent information (such as closings related to weather) go out through all channels:

CCPS mobile app
Facebook for all schools; Instagram where applicable
We also make every effort to notify local news outlets of closures and delays. However, many reporting systems are automated, and occasional technical issues can affect how or when information is displayed.
Before acting on information shared through outside sources, please check the CCPS website or official district communication channels for confirmation. We also encourage families to review and update their contact information in PowerSchool and staff to do the same through the Employee Access Center to ensure they receive timely notifications.
