At the February Board of Education meeting, the Board approved Ms. Chasity Wright as Assistant Principal of North Caroline High School.
Dr. Simmons shared that he was very excited to bring "the official appointment" before the Board for the assistant principal at North Caroline High School (NCHS). He explained that Ms. Wright has been the dean of students at NCHS since start of school year, doing an outstanding job while she was finishing the administrator program necessary to be assistant principal.
Ms. Wright has been with CCPS since 2012 as an intervention teacher, PBIS coach, and evening school teacher, among other positions.
Dr. Simmons said, "Chastity was the unanimous choice of interview committee originally, and I'm glad we were able to make it work as a dean of students. Now that the coursework is done, we can officially accord her the title of assistant principal."
