Nash Ireland has been named the Athletic Director of the Year for District 8 by the Maryland Public Schools Secondary Athletic Association (MPSAA). Mr. Ireland was nominated by the Bayside Conference Athletic Directors for this honor.
Mr. Ireland has been the Athletic Director at North Caroline High School (NCHS) since 2018. After graduating from NCHS in 2009, he attended Salisbury University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in History with minors in Social Students and Athletic Coaching Minors in 2014. He returned to NCHS in 2015 to teach Social Studies and eventually accept the Athletic Director position. Mr. Ireland also coached JV Boys Basketball for three years, and has been the head golf coach for the past eight years.
“Mr. Ireland is an amazing athletic director,” NCHS Principal Matt Spiker said. “He works hard to make sure the athletes and coaches have everything they need to be successful on the playing fields."
