Ms. Slaughter’s students put their math skills to the test today by solving equations to find the x- and y-intercepts! Working with partners, they solved each task card and then matched it to the correct graph in a scavenger hunt. 🧩📈✏️
All students were engaged and building meaningful classroom discourse. Nothing is better than making learning fun—because engagement equals retention! 💡👏
🐾 We are Bulldogs: Informed. Empowered. Invincible. 💙

💙🐾 Did you know? Students who are positively connected to their high school are more successful—academically and personally. That’s our goal this year at The Ridge: Get connected. Stay connected. Be a Bulldog forever.
This week we hosted our Clubs and Class Fair, and it was incredible to see so many students excited about the countless opportunities NCHS has to offer. The Bulldog spirit is alive and thriving!
We are Bulldogs—Informed, Empowered, Invincible! 🐾

Friday, September 19: Caroline County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay due to fog in parts of the county. Please be safe in your travels.

🏈✨ Here’s another look at an amazing NCHS improvement: our football field!
Tomorrow is our home varsity football opener, and we’re excited to show off the newly soded field to our community. We take pride in The Ridge and want it to look its best!
Hey Bulldogs—don’t forget the student section theme tomorrow night is Western! Break out your boots, cowboy hats, and all things denim. 🤠💙
Important reminders for students:
You must be present in school tomorrow and obtain a wristband in order to be eligible to buy a ticket for the football game.
Students on principal probation will not be permitted to purchase a ticket.
We are new and improved Bulldogs! 🐾

🐾 The Ridge had two special lunch guests today—Ms. Brewster, CCPS Supervisor of Food Services, and Dr. Simmons, Superintendent of Schools!
We hope they enjoyed the newly spruced-up Bulldog Café and their time having lunch with our students. 💙

Bulldog Family & Friends - Despite our best-laid plans, the weather forecast is not favorable this week. Because of the extensive planning and set up required in the days prior to the ceremony, the decision has been made to relocate graduation indoors. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience as we work to accommodate and celebrate a large graduating class and their families.
Graduation will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 6:00pm in the main gym. Please note: A shuttle to transport guests between the back parking lot and the auditorium will be running between 4:30 and 6:00pm.
Tickets:
● Due to space limitations, each graduate will receive four (4) tickets.
● Extra tickets that have already been requested will be marked for auditorium seating only.
● CCPS staff entering with an employee badge will be seated in the auditorium.
Graduation will be live streamed to the auditorium and to anyone accessing the link online. Please click here (vimeo.com/event/5160588) to view.
