LMS is proud to invite you to our Black History Celebration on Thursday, February 26th. The evening will include special performances by our LMS Music Department and Unity Club, as well as a powerful reenactment honoring local legend Nathaniel “Uncle Nace” Hopkins. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, and the first performance will begin at 5:30 PM. We hope you will join us for this meaningful evening as we celebrate history, culture, and community together. This week in social studies class students will learn about the high school scheduling process and begin selecting their high school pathway and courses. We are holding a high school scheduling information session next Monday, 2/16 at 6:30pm in the LMS Cafeteria for parents and families. Please review the scheduling worksheet coming home this week with your child. Mr. Gibbons will have visited all social studies classes by the end of the day on Thursday, and will have similar information to share with families on the 16th. We hope you can join us!

Caroline Family - Please mark your calendars with the following adjustments:
*Friday, February 6: Now a half day for students and a full day for staff
*Monday, February 16 (Presidents Day): Now a full day for students and staff
*Monday, March 16: Now a full day for students and staff

These adjustments were made due to the recent inclement weather days used, and in an effort to avoid extending the school year. With these changes, and if no further inclement weather days are used, the last day of school for students remains June 17, 2025 (half-day).

Students should check PowerSchool for their new UA classes. 6th & 7th grade students who have UA 1st period should report directly to their new class this morning. Health classroom locations will be posted in the gym hallway.
