Dr. Rebecca Wivell has been appointed assistant principal (AP) at Federalsburg Elementary School. This position was previously held by Ms. Anna Howie, who is the new Coordinator of Professional Learning for the district.
Dr. Wivell joined the Caroline family in 2012 as a Special Education teacher at Colonel Richardson High School, subsequently becoming the Lead Special Education teacher. She moved to colonel Richardson Middle School in 2017 as a Reading Intervention Specialist, along with serving as Building Literacy Specialist and Instructional Coach. In 2023, she was appointed Dean of Students at Caroline Career and Technology Center.
“I’m excited to join Principal Brohawn and the amazing staff and students at Federalsburg Elementary School,” Dr. Wivell said. "I know how truly special FES is, and now becoming a Falcon and being able to experience it myself is a blessing. I look forward to growing and learning with them."
Dr. Wivell earned her Masters in Teaching Elementary Education and Special Education from Mount St. Mary’s University, and her Ed.D. in Contemporary Curriculum Theory and Instruction: Literacy from Salisbury University.
