At the February Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Tara Downes explained the calendar development process, listed the staff and stakeholders involved, and detailed the key considerations. She also shared the survey sent to staff and the results which showed that among the 1,346 respondents, 53.4% preferred Draft Calendar #1 Pre-Labor Day (August) Start.
