June 16, 2025 – At the June meeting, the Caroline County Board of Education approved the recommendation of Mr. Tyrone Rorie as assistant principal at North Caroline High School.

 

Mr. Rorie began his career in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a teacher in various therapeutic and intervention student support and family coach roles. In 2016, he became a Business Education teacher, followed by assistant principal roles in 2020. He has also volunteered his time as a coach, trainer, and counselor for various charitable organizations.

 

Mr. Rorie received his Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College. In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Holy Family University in Philadelphia.

 

At the June work session, the Board of Education approved the recommendation of Ms. Eileen Gardner as assistant principal at Colonel Richardson High School.

 

Ms. Gardner began her career as a School Library Media Specialist in 2014 serving both Howard County Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools. In 2023, she became an Assistant School Administrator and later an Assistant Principal at high schools in Montgomery County.

 

Ms. Gardner received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore, and her Master’s degree in Library Science from University at Buffalo, SUNY.

 

Regarding the appointments, Superintendent Dr. Simmons stated, “We are pleased to welcome these talented administrators to the Caroline family. They bring skills and qualities that will benefit both students and staff at the high schools.”
