Due to the resignation of a member of the Board of Education of Caroline County, there exists a vacancy on the Board of Education. Pursuant to Section 3-3A-02 of the Education Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Board of Education is required to select a qualified individual to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term of the vacating member and until a successor is elected and qualifies. The individual selected must be a resident of the same Board of Education district as that of the vacating member, which is District 1. The voting members of the Board of Education shall conduct an interview of each applicant at an open meeting. Pursuant to this law, the Board of Education requires applicants to fill out the Application below and to submit the Application on or before May 17, 2024.
