Upcoming Training

The Caroline County Social-Emotional Well-Being Program is providing a training for parents, caregivers, stakeholders and community members on the topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years). For example:

  • experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect
  • witnessing violence in the home or community
  • having a family member attempt or die by suicide

The purpose of the training is to develop a better understanding of ACEs and the ACEs framework; to acquire knowledge, skills, attitude, behavior or status of a child or family that is related to preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences.
