Students & Staff Still Able to Access School-Based Health Center Providers

April 23, 2020 - We are excited to announce that Choptank Community Health System’s School Based Health Center providers are now available virtually every school day. Students and staff can access tele-health care using either Zoom or Google Duo-accessible from their personal or CCPS provided device.

Common medical concerns and illnesses can be addressed during a video visit with providers or, when absolutely necessary, through a follow-up visit in a Choptank office. Reasons for a visit could include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow up appointments
  • Medication refills
  • Acne
  • Allergies
  • Anxiety/Depression/ADHD
  • Asthma*
  • Bronchitis*
  • Cold symptoms*
  • Constipation
  • Genitourinary complaints
  • Diarrhea/Nausea/Vomiting*
  • Ear problems*
  • Fever and Sore throat*
  • Headache*
  • Heartburn
  • Insect Bites
  • Joint/muscle pain*
  • Minor Injuries
  • Pain*
  • Pink eye
  • Rash and other skin infection/disorders
  • Sprain & Strain
  • Wounds

*Some complaints above MAY require an in-office visit as determined by the provider.
