May 12, 2020 – Due to the mandatory closure of Maryland schools, CCPS students lost nine days of the required 180 days of instruction, from March 17 through March 27, 2020. The state requires those days to either be made up or waived. CCPS had five inclement weather days built into the 2019-2020 calendar which must be applied to days missed. The Board of Education requested the state waive the remaining four days, which brings the school year to a close for students on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
