The Caroline County Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, presenters may be participating via video call. The public may not attend in person; however, the meeting will be livestreamed to the public.
The regular Board meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. only for the purpose of voting to close its meeting pursuant to state government under the Open Meetings Act (General Provisions Article 3-305 (1) (9)) for the following reasons: (1) to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction; any other personnel matters that affects one or more specific individuals and (9) to conduct collective bargaining negotiations or consider matters that relate to the negotiations.
The public portion of the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. when the Board reconvenes in public session.
Regarding Public Comment: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance at meetings is restricted. To ensure the opportunity for public input, the Board will accept written public comment via email sent to [email protected]. Emails must be received no later than noon on the day of the Board meeting, and must clearly state in the subject line or body of the email “For Public Comment.” Emails will be provided to Board members prior to the start of the meeting, and the content will be included in the Board minutes that follow the meeting.
