Members of the Young Gentlemen’s Club (YGC) of Greensboro Elementary School gathered at the April Board of Education Meeting to lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance, share information about the club, and recite the club’s pledge.

The club consisted of 20 students who were chosen through teacher, counselor, and administrator recommendation. Members met weekly from January through March with club founder Dr. James Orr and volunteer coaches Officer Andrew Durham, Mr. Colin Joseph, Mr. Trevor Nichols and Mr. Nick Wake. Each week, students learned about various skills and attitudes that will help them successfully navigate life.

The club’s pledge is:
Today I pledge to be the best me I can be.
Today I pledge to treat others with respect and courtesy.
Today I pledge to be helpful to others.
Today I pledge to be a positive role model.
Today I will demonstrate I’m a Gentleman!
