The Colonel Richardson High School National Honor Society recently hosted a “Purple Run” 5K Run or Walk event to raise money for the Caroline Goes Purple movement. Teacher and sponsor Chad Shelly, student Jazmin Berduo-Morales, and members of the CRHS Purple Club organized the event which attracted 30 runners and walkers on a Saturday morning at Martinak State Park. The event raised $630 for Caroline Goes Purple, a Drug-Free Caroline coalition that builds awareness of the critical opioid epidemic facing communities.
