This is an advanced, highly individualized course for the student who plans to pursue art in college or post-secondary studies. The course requires the development of an in-depth portfolio demonstrating quality, depth of concentration and breadth of application. This course focuses on mark-making and drawing concepts such as line quality, light and shade, rendering of form, composition, surface manipulation, and the illusion of depth. Prerequisites and other notes: Satisfactory completion of Foundations of Art, as well as 2 other upper level art courses. It is recommended that students take Art Studio I and/or II in conjunction with this course. This course is specifically for those students who will take the AP Exam.
