Congratulations, Dr. Willoughby!

At the January Board of Education meeting, the Board recognized Dr. Robert W. Willoughby, Supervisor of Instruction & Athletics, for recently completing a doctoral degree in Public Administration from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Willoughby is a graduate of Colonel Richardson High School. He attended college at Washington College and North Central University earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, a Master of Arts in History, and a Master of Education in Athletic Administration.  His doctorate was officially conferred on December 19, 2021.

This is Dr. Willoughby’s 20th year in education, all in Caroline County. He began his career as a teacher at Colonel Richardson High School, became an assistant principal at Lockerman Middle School and North Caroline High School, and then principal at Colonel Richardson Middle School. He is now in his second year as a Supervisor of Instruction at the Central Office, overseeing Social Studies, World Languages, Financial Literacy, Policy Development and Athletics.
