In keeping with the yearlong CCTC theme of ‘Spread the Sunshine’, Cosmetology Teacher Kristi Hall and CTE Teacher Specialist Eric Cook organized a Color Me Appreciated event for CCPS staff and Cosmetology students.

Ms. Hall and Mr. Cook applied for and were awarded a mini-grant through the Maryland Retired School Personnel. Their goal was to benefit CCPS staff with a free hair color services while giving cosmetology students additional customer service experience. Staff from all schools and departments in the county were given the opportunity to put their name in the hat for an appointment.

Throughout Teacher Appreciation Week, 15 clients enjoyed expert color services, provided by 13 Cosmetology students. The lucky clients were: Denise Bates, Tamra Baurys, Erin Bradley, Katherine Geisler, Amanda Hobbs, Keri Marshall, Lisa McKinney, Ann Mengel, Bridget Pennington, Maggie Plinke, Betsy Quathamer, Jennifer Shoemaker, Laci Stubbs, Michelle Swann, and Peggy Wittman.
