The Caroline County Public Schools Support Services Center (SSC), formerly the VFW, hosted an open house for county officials and guests to tour the newly renovated building. Mr. Bill Scudder, the post’s commander when the building was donated, was among the honored guests visiting that day, along with the county commissioners and staff.
The SSC serves as office space for employees of the transportation, food services, maintenance, information technology and school safety departments, as well as conference room space. Some of the décor in the SSC pays tribute to the building’s history with plaques recognizing the post and the ladies’ auxiliary, two framed U.S. flags and a post member’s hat.
