The Caroline County Public Schools family was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of board member Kathy Dill. Mrs. Dill began her service on the board in 2016 when she was appointed by Governor Hogan. She was re-appointed in 2020 and also served a term as board president.
Board President James Newcomb said, “Kathy’s presence will be missed throughout education in the region, especially for Caroline County Board of Education. During our discussions and deliberations, her calm demeanor and informed feedback was always of benefit. Her absence leaves a void in many aspects of this community.”
Interim Superintendent Derek Simmons shared, “As a lifelong resident of Caroline County and retired educator, Mrs. Dill leaves a lasting legacy of service to the community. She was strongly committed to doing what was in the best interest of students, and that dedication never wavered. On behalf of everyone at CCPS, I extend my sincere condolences to Mrs. Dill’s family and friends.”
Mrs. Dill’s obituary and information about services have been shared online through Moore Funeral Home.
