Career Technical Education (CTE) students from Caroline attended the SkillsUSA Maryland Fall Leadership Conference in Ocean City this past fall. Thirty-four students, accompanied by Caroline Career and Technology (CCTC) teachers Dennis Hall and Christine Wright, participated in a variety of workshops that addressed topics such as leadership, employability skills, and team building.

At the conference, students attended a variety of workshops designed to have them step out of their comfort zone and ready themselves for employment. Students attending for the first time received the SkillsUSA Statesman Award; second year attendees were awarded Advance Statesman status.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. They provide educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education in the nation’s classrooms.
