All K-8 Students Receiving a Book in the Mail

Thanks to generous funding from the Caroline Human Services Council (HSC), all Caroline students in kindergarten through 8th grade will be receiving the gift of a book in the mail this summer. Each book includes a note that says, “We have missed you! Please enjoy this book as a gift from us. Have a wonderful, safe summer!” The message includes information about summer meals.

“Purchasing and mailing close to 3,900 books has been quite a project but we consider it a labor of love,” stated Director of Instruction Lindsey McCormick. “We have missed the students so much, and this was a great way to let them know that.”

In thanking the HSC for making the gift possible, Superintendent Patty Saelens stated, “This is the kind of partnership and support that makes our community unique, and enables us to provide for our students in special ways.”
